Dear creative geniuses,
Someone asked me why thousands of artists would donate to art2life. My reply was simple.
“Creative minds like to give back to creatively.”
This project’s success hinges on your generosity, your creative minds, and networking. The art2life goal is to raise $1,000,000. That’s 10,000 art2life boxes. That’s 10,000 artists who are willing to give to 2 great causes.
Throughout this process the art2life team will be doing everything we can to reach as many people as possible. We can’t do it alone. Beyond creating a box, art2life depends on viral marketing and networking and we need your help. Please spread the word about this amazing project amongst your friends and family. Inspire other artists to participate. Send us any crazy ideas, out of the box thinking, and contacts who you think might spread the word, donate, or lend a hand. If you think art2life is creative, we’ve got some fun things in the works to launch this project throughout the world.
[MAKE AN ART2LIFE BOX]
- Create an art2life piece of artwork that celebrates life.
- Your creation must eventually fit in a 12 x 12 x 12” box.
- Please make sure that packaging (peanuts, bubble-wrap, tissue paper etc) is included in the final 12x12x12 inch dimensions.
- Along with the artwork, we encourage you to give information about your art2life creation, your artist statement, or anything you feel would enhance the purchase of your art (music, poem, picture etc). Each art2life box should tell a one-of-a-kind story.

- Please speak with your financial consultant regarding your donation and tax deduction eligibility
- All artwork will be photographed, counted, documented, and re-boxed into an art2life box for distribution. The original packaging will be used for a recycled “ART ATTACK” project at the Chehalem Cultural Center.
- Artist statements and box contents will be published on-line as they are received.
- Recipients will not know the contents of the box.
- Tickets are sold for $100/box.
- Boxes are picked-up/shipped during the art2life celebration. Boxes are randomly given/shipped to everyone who buys a ticket.
- Half of the proceeds go towards two non-profits: The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, the other half goes towards the Chehalem Cultural Center.
Artwork will be juried to insure that the contents are appropriate for the art2life project. Submissions will not be accepted that do not have an assessed value of at least $100, that contain illicit material, vulgarity, and do not comply with normal shipping standards (no hazardous/perishable etc. materials).
